As we announced in our Webinar the other day, Lupus Europe is proud to announce that the 31th Annual Lupus Europe Convention 2020 will be held virtually, in the clouds. The convention will start on Friday morning 27th November and it will finish on Sunday 29th November. Building on the great work of Liverpool, England 2019, we will bring our membersan exciting programme for a brilliant convention. The Board of Lupus Europe has decided that our convention in the clouds presents a unique opportunity to allow our members to “meet” people that we would not be able to invite at a face to face convention. We have a full, exciting, interactive programme planned complete with lectures, workshops and opportunitiesto re-connect with all our friends, on:
FRIDAY, 27th November
The convention will start at 10:30 am (CEST) with a discussion of our 2020 progress and a workshopon 2021 plans.
In the afternoon, we will stretch to the “end of the world’ meeting with Lupus leaders from US to Asia.
SATURDAY, 28th November
Prof. L. Arnaud will lead us through on a Panorama on the Handling of Lupus in 2020 and then answer all the questions you might have on Lupus.
We will then hold a fair where representativesfrom different patient groups in Europe will share their experiences.
SUNDAY, 29th November
Will start with our council session (invited delegates only) with several important topics like the impact of Brexit, electing new trustees and welcoming new members.
In the afternoon, a scientifically focused session on Lupus research and a workshop on Lupus and aesthetic care will offer you the option that best fits your interests. We will close the convention around 17:30.
Our convention is primarily aimed at our members and active volunteers. This year however, as the on-line nature of the event allows more participation, we have the opportunity to welcome a broader audience to some parts of the convention.
If you are interested in taking part in the event, please apply using the following link here (or click on the button below).
Applications will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees together with the relevant national member group, and applicants will be informed accordingly.
