I hope this one can spark a little smile up your face as well. I think it is funny that lupus has a butterfly as a symbol because I have to think of a wolf when I hear lupus. Because of this project, there is another human being aware of this disease.. Take care. Greeting froms Holland! Fabienne / Netherlands

Hi there, Greetings from Singapore, a small island state in Southeast Asia. Let me share you what I know about Lupus.
I first did some research on this disease a few years ago after I started having a rash on my face that is very similar to the Lupus "butterfly rash". That's how I came to know of Lupus why the butterfly is significant to Lupus sufferers.
Luckily I do not (think I) have Lupus. It is a very common disease. My friend's aunt living in Hong Kong died from it, even one of my students (I am a piano teacher) suffers from Lupus. In my student's case - she is 27 this year - suffering from Lupus meant that she had to quit her job because the hours were too long. Luckily, playing the piano help her not to be stressed, her Lupus is under control now. Spread the awareness! Ammy / Singapore
